Third Annual D2 Gives Back: The American Dream Concert on Small Business Saturday
Northern Kentucky is small business. Of the 10,000+ businesses in the region, 83% each employ 20 people or less. Businesses that start and grow local, stay local and offer more support for community priorities.
The Northern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center ensures that the American Dream remains obtainable to everyone and anyone with a solid idea and the will to work hard to start and grow a business. Providing support and critical information via free business coaching services , we help small, local businesses gain access to sound advice and robust resources. This allows small business owners, the backbone of America, to employ more people and keep jobs and opportunity in our communities. We serve many Veteran, Minority and Woman-owned businesses, in addition to those seeking to make generational changes in their family's future.
Small Business Saturday happens annually, every Thanksgiving weekend. This year November 25th is designated as the day that allows us to show our support, full force, to those chasing their American Dream on Main Street, USA.
We are a staff of two designated to serve an entire multi-County region. As deep budget cuts have lead to bare bones funding, demand for our services grows exponentially. One hundred percent of all funds raised will go to providing resources and services to aspiring small business owners. This directly leads to economic opport unity for many, business growth, and job creation that supports families and makes our communities stronger.
